After we made it past Kurton, Curtin?, or however you spell it, we headed on in to Elias and his bar. We delivered to him the magic lockbox and used our necklaces to give him the goods.
Elias followed a woman outside. Apparently, someone local had been killed. Elias said there had been "2 dead in 2 days." This time, it was at a store and Elias wanted to send out a patrol to find the culprits. He assured us the lizardmen would not have done it, since they always left the village alone.
Instead, they decided to lock the town down tonight and allow nobody in or out. (I am glad we arrived when we did!) The local sheriff, Ray, was the one in charge of all of this.
We were asked to find Elias's niece. Her husband was the man just killed. While his had been the second death, the first one did not seem to concern the people as much since the first one had had some mental issues.
Shu, Shellcormon, Ais, Horton and myself headed off to her house. We found a bootprint there unlike the others, but it was faint.
There was a large fissure we could not get around, but we could see a lighthouse about 5 miles out. We could see lights in the distance, perhaps representing the various lizardmen tribes. At war, maybe? Better between themselves, then, than with us.
I do not remember how, as it was dark, but we found a set of ruins. We saw a light there and went to investigate. The lizardmen seemed to be afraid, but there was a figure there with a flaming cutlass symbol. Perhaps it meant he was a brigand? An enemy of the Arc, no doubt, if that is true.
He said to be Red of the Flame Blades. He had been paid by Gingera Celebrated. When we asked who she was, he said she was the witch "in there" and pointed to a house!
We headed to the house of the witch and entered....
